California Gov. Gavin Newsom has named a black lesbian from Maryland to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Laphonza Butler is the head of the powerful Emily’s List – a leftist political action committee. She is also a radical pro-abortionist.

“She will make history — becoming the first black lesbian to openly serve in the U.S. Senate,” Newsom said in said in a statement posted on Twitter. “As we mourn the enormous loss of Sen. Feinstein, the very freedoms she fought for — reproductive freedom, equal protection, and safety from gun violence — have never been under greater assault,” he added. “Laphonza has spent her entire career fighting for women and girls and has been a fierce advocate for working people.”

Gov. Newsom had promised to appoint a black woman to the position and he delivered on that promise. Skin color and sex were the only criteria considered in Ms. Butler’s appointment. However, the appointment has already created controversy because it turns out Butler lives in Maryland. Newsweek reports that she has reportedly been living in Silver Springs, Maryland since 2021 and had listed her address on a campaign contribution just over 30 days ago.

The AUN TV NETWORK reported: “Newsom’s office confirms she moved to [the] D.C. area for EMILY’s list, but is a CA homeowner and will reregister to vote in California before being sworn in.” .   This may however be a violation of election laws since you are supposed to register to vote where you live more than 50% of the time!

According to the U.S. Census, only five percent of Californians are black. However, 15 percent of the state’s citizens are Asian American or Pacific Islander. So, why did Newsom ignore that demographic? Governor Newsom’s decision should trouble the nation and especially the torch bearers of the Civil Rights movement. On a side note, I’m surprised there were no qualified black lesbians who actually live in California.  Once again, An appointment is made because of sex, race, color of skin, sexual preference and radical ideology rather than qualifications.  No wonder Washington and the country are so dysfunctional!!!

NEWS BREAK!! Following Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s death, California Gov. Gavin Newsom must appoint a replacement. Sunday evening, he announced that EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler would hold the seat. FEC and voter registration records, however, indicate Butler lives in Maryland. AS REPORTED BY AUN TV NETWORK California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s interim replacement for Sen. Dianne Feinstein doesn’t appear to actually live in California, records show. Feinstein died at the age of 90 years old on September 28. Though she had already announced that she would not be running for reelection for an additional term, her death required Newsom to appoint a temporary replacement for her until a special election can be held. On Sunday night, Newsom announced his decision to appoint Laphonza Butler to fill Feinstein’s seat in the interim. Before the appointment, Butler served as the president of EMILYs List, a group whose goal is to elect Democratic women to office who favor access to abortion. But according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission from September 2023, Butler doesn’t live in California, nor anywhere close to the state. Instead, it appears she lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, a Washington, DC suburb.
