New Flood of Illegal Immigrants Impacting California and US Schools

Illegal immigrants have flooded the state!  California public schools are inundated with excessive amounts of non-English speaking students,  made more difficult because many of these children don’t speech Spanish, but a tribal dialect depending of the region they come from.

California school districts are hiring extra teachers and support personnel, stretching the resources allocated for education, preparing for the arrival of tens of thousands of illegal alien

children/adults who have come across the U.S. southern border.

California, one of the highest taxed states in the United States, has limited resources for education due to the unfunded liabilities of state worker pension and benefit packages, spiking and an inability to change. The latest Quality Counts report from Education Week ranks California 47th overall in how much it spends per student – $8,667 when adjusted for regional cost differences, about $3,000 below the national average of $11,665.

California Schools Hiring to Accommodate Latest Illegal Alien Juveniles

San Francisco Unified School District spoke of resources dedicated “toward both the short and long-term needs of unaccompanied immigrant children enrolling in SFUSD,” in an August 13 press release. In the release, San Francisco Board of Education President Sandra Lee Fewer said in part, “We have learned that it not only takes a village to raise a child; it takes a city, a state, and an entire national government.” Fewer additionally indicated they expect to continue to see an influx of illegal alien students, as she mentioned those “yet to come.”

Influx of Illegal Immigrant Children Likely to Strain Public Schools

Washington, D.C. – Each of the tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children pouring across the U.S.-Mexico border who remains in this country is legally entitled to a free public education. If President Obama allows large numbers of illegal alien children to remain in the United States, the public schools will have to manage an unforeseen and possibly unmanageable influx of new foreign children as early as this fall.

“Teachers unions like to call the children of illegal immigration ‘dreamers’ and want to extend all the benefits of our educational system to them. But they are going to create a nightmare for their membership when teachers are suddenly faced with increased class sizes they already say are too large and are forced to do more with resources they say are already stretched past their limits. Teachers who are members of these unions should ask their leaders why they are willing to let this happen to them and why President Obama did this to the unions who supported him so strongly in the past.” – Project 21 spokesman Kevin Martin, an environmental contractor and the son of a retired public school teacher.

According to an Associated Press report they have obtained an audio of a confidential Immigration and Customs Enforcement meeting with immigration advocates working on detention policies that occurred on Wednesday.

On the recording, according to the AP, an ICE official revealed that about 70 percent of the illegal immigrant families detained and then released into the United States did not show up for their required appointments 15 days later with federal immigration officials.

Here in California we can expect that at least 70% the illegals being relocated here will be here impacting our economy and our schools negatively and that some will be registered and will impact our elections for the foreseeable future.

  1. It seems to me that the people can stop some of the insanity letting foreign invaders squat here on American soil is to demand to know what facilities are available to accommodate all these people. Use the fire codes on room capacity, are emergency exits adequate, are there enough bathroom facilities to meet the building code, (how many bathrooms per 100 students).

Get creative because if the gov cannot provide the basic school infrastructure to support the number of students and ensure the health, safety and welfare of the students- then the gov has created a health, safety or welfare problem.
    Health – meaning something toxic,
Safety – meaning the school is the site of the toxins causing health problems, and Welfare – meaning the health and safety problem is life threatening.
