Obama Censors Health Insurance Companies, Gag Order On 2015 Prices Until After Election!

Barack Obama is known for hiding his report card from Americans.  He delayed implementing ObamaCare for almost four years.  Why?  The similar RomneyCare rollout was done in months.  The most likely reason is he expected it to be a failure that would harm Americans and would cost him the 2012 election.

And that is what has happened.  It has failed to do what he promised and made things worse not better.  As such it is very unpopular and Democrat politicians are being clobbered in 2014 by it.  Many will not even admit they voted for Obama in 2012 or are in favor of ObamaCare, because it has been such a failure in the eyes of Americans.

Now he is up to again, except this time it reeks of criminal corruption. He has issued an executive (some would say dictatorial) gag order that forces insurance companies to hide 2015 health insurance premium prices from Americans, until after the election.

He did this by introducing a one month delay in the enrollment date as a “cover”.

How bad will in be?  Are we looking at a 50% increase in healthcare costs in 2015 for Americans?  That is about what my personal health insurance went up in 2013 when ObamaCare was implemented.

Barack Obama is again playing political games with our health insurance industry and has turned in another underhanded move against it by forcing insurance carriers, brokers and agents to withhold their 2015 prices until after the 2014 midterm elections are over all so that the news of higher prices won’t hurt Democrats on Election Day.

This means that customers looking to get new insurance or those wishing to scout new policies to see if they can get a better deal are not able to shop for insurance.

Before we get into that, though, millions of new cancellations will be hitting on January 1, 2015. Much of this news has gone under the radar as Democrats and their lapdog media are keeping this as quiet as possible.

There is also something different with these cancellations, something that has never happened before in the healthcare insurance industry. Past practice has always been that the next year’s new rates are released 60 days before the first day of the next year. But Obama has mandated that companies hold back on that normal practice so that he can shield Democrats at the polls.

Here is how insurance agent C. Steven Tucker explained it this weekend:

This year, for the first time in 20 years I can not even quote a replacement product because Barack Obama has issued a GAG ORDER to the health insurance industry instructing them not to disclose their January 2015 health insurance rates until after the mid-term elections. This is unprecedented. Normally health insurance premiums are released for public viewing 60 days before the January 1st effective date. Where are the reports on these cancellations and the gag order from NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN? The only news organization that I am aware of that has reported on any of this is the Fox News channel. I can guarantee you one thing, not one of my clients who received a cancellation notice is voting Democrat on Tuesday.

How did Obama do it, how did he censor the healthcare insurers so as to keep the American people in the dark until after the election today?   This from a Wall Street Journal Article on Nov. 22, 2013:

Along with the December delay, the administration said it was planning to push back enrollment dates for 2015. Enrollment for that year will start Nov. 15, 2014, instead of the previously planned Oct. 15, and last until Jan. 15, 2015, officials said. The shift was intended (AUN-TV believes falsely claimed) to reassure insurers. It also means that enrollment will begin after the 2014 midterm elections are over.

Republicans attacked what they characterized as a politically motivated decision. “Clearly, President Obama does not want voters to see increased prices, more cancellations and decreased options under Obamacare before they go to the ballot box,” said House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.).
