Most Scandalous Government Abuse of Power in Modern Times
Thomas Jefferson wrote: A press that is free to investigate and criticize the government is absolutely essential in a nation that practices self-government and is therefore dependent on an educated and enlightened citizenry…
The Obama Administration has seen fit to mock and ridicule any and all attempts of the press to get the facts out to the public. Since most of the media is compliant, it hasn’t been to difficult for them to say, ‘that’s an old story, move on’. Now and then a real journalist comes along and bucks ‘the system’ and we are seeing the results. Hacking into her computer, removing documents and e-mails and putting classified documents on the hard drive for purposes of perhaps starting an investigation similar to that of Fox News Reporter James Rosen.
Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a ‘possible co-conspirator’ in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails.”
Sharyl Attkinson a Former CBS News reporter who quit the network over claims it kills stories that put President Obama in a bad light says she was spied on by a “government-related entity” that planted classified documents on her computer.
In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson, Winner of 2003 Emmy Award for Investigative Reporting, speculates that the motive was to lay the groundwork for potential charges against her for the purpose of silencing her and/or her sources and stopping her investigations.
The breach was accomplished through an “otherwise innocuous e-mail” that Attkisson says she got in February 2012, then twice “redone” and “refreshed” through a satellite hookup and a Wi-Fi connection at a Ritz-Carlton hotel. The email immediately followed a story she wrote about Fast & Furious.
The spyware included programs that Attkisson says monitored her every keystroke and gave the hacker access to all her e-mails and the passwords to her financial accounts. In her new memoir, Attkisson says that a government entity hacked into her computer, logged keystrokes, accessed e-mails and captured passwords for applications including her personal financial accounts. The program also allegedly was able to initiate her Skype account and collect audio.
Attkisson says her source — identified only as “Number One” — told her the spying was most likely not court-authorized because it went on far longer than most legal taps.
But the most shocking finding, she says, was the discovery of three classified documents that Number One told her were “buried deep in your operating system. In a place that, unless you’re some kind of computer whiz specialist, you wouldn’t even know exists.”
It should not escape notice that CBS News President David Rhodes’ brother, Ben, is a national security advisor for Obama.
Sharyl Attkinson talked about this today:
Government Planted Classified Documents In Sharyl Attkisson’s Computer
by Sara Noble • October 27, 2014
Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson is a true American hero. She has taken on an oppressive and dangerous government to write a book exposing what might be treasonous and criminal behavior, behavior that could reach the uppermost echelons of government, maybe even the White House.
Sharyll Attkisson has written a memoir titled Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington and in it she exposes what could be the most scandalous government abuse of power in modern times. If true, the government entity behind it is guilty of treasonous activity.
Attkisson believes it might have been done to lay the groundwork for future charges against her or one or more of her sources. If the government is planting classified documents, they are guilty of giving out top secret information. That’s treason. It’s also criminal and worthy of a KGB operation. Attkisson’s sources were and are endangered.
An expert – connected to a government bureau – who agreed to check her laptop for spyware said that it was hacked by a sophisticated government entity which used a commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”
The government has repeatedly attacked free speech. They are non-transparent. They have done everything possible to shut down the free press. They also have no problem targeting innocent Americans and lying about it or losing corroborating emails. If it wasn’t a pattern of behavior we have already witnessed, this might be shocking. What is shocking is that Americans aren’t outraged.
Another video shows how reporters are beginning to think that Obama is very anti freedom of the press:
