What was Ambassador Chris Stevens doing at the lightly-guarded, unsecured consulate in Benghazi, away from the more-secure U.S. Embassy at Tripoli? This remains a mystery about the terrorist attack on the Consulate on September 11, 2012.
Congressional testimony has already established that Hillary Clinton, then U.S. Secretary of State, ordered Ambassador Stevens to “stand up” a satellite Consulate in Benghazi and demanded this be done in a rush. Benghazi is on the other side of Libya from the Tripoli Embassy. But the reasons for this urgent project have never been disclosed or explained by the tight-lipped Obama Administration.
Now, Admiral James Lyons has uncovered that the U.S. State Department plan was for Hillary Clinton to visit Benghazi in October 2012 as a “photo op” or “victory lap” to show that the Obama Administration policy and her work as Secretary of State were successes in Libya.
Stevens was rushing to establish the Consulate, ignoring serious threats, as an outreach to Libyan civil society, to show that democracy was taking hold and the new government birthed by Obama and Clinton was succeeding. The need for speed was intended to be ready to hold an October 2012 visit from Hillary Clinton.

“Note that Admiral Lyons does not down-play the reports of guns being run through Libya, and discussed it at length. But he focused on the direct cause of rushing the establishment of the Consulate without proper security specifically resulting in the incident on September 11, 2012.” Conservative Commandos Radio Show co-host Jonathon Moseley clarified. “Also, that at that stage of planning, that doesn’t mean slippery Hillary had already bought the plane tickets. The concept of a Hillary visit was on the planning board, even if the Hillary machine tries to nitpick their way out of it on the grounds that the visit wasn’t 1000% finalized.”
Jonathon Moseley adds “Clearly an October 2012 photo-op, as a victory dance in the end zone, would also have helped Obama’s re-election campaign with Obama’s foreign policy weakness. If there were plans for an October 2012 photo-op, the rush ignoring security risks was politics – for the 2012 Presidential campaign. However, Hillary Clinton herself has little to show for her term as Secretary of State, and a rush to demonstrate a success would have improved Hillary’s thin record. So Admiral Lyons’ discovery reveals that electoral politics caused the careless rush in Benghazi that led to the death a U.S. Ambassador and three other American citizens under Hillary’s care.”
Furthermore, Admiral Lyons has also discovered that Barack Obama’s war in Libya was unnecessary. After the first few days of the initial bombing, Libyan President Muammar Qaddaffi offered to abdicate. The deaths of tens of thousands of Libyans could have been avoided. However, Obama refused (did not respond). Qaddafi’s condition was that Libya continue to fight Al Qaeda. In addition, the U.S. military was fully capable of responding to the attacks on the Benghazi Consulate within 3 – 4 hours. Admiral Lyons – who commanded the Pacific Fleet and has extensive professional, direct knowledge of U.S. military capabilities – explains in detail what capabilities the U.S. military had in the region and why F-16’s from Italy could have been buzzing the compound and strafing the attackers with machine gun fire within 4 hours or less. Admiral Lyons claims that the U.S. military could probably have saved the last two Americans to die in the attacks.

Clarifies co-host Jonathon Moseley “In our questioning, Admiral Lyons also briefly alluded to the idea that securing the compound even if the attack had ended was reason enough to continue a military response once set in motion. Therefore, time considerations were not a rational reason to withhold military action to help the U.S. Consulate under attack. Admiral Lyons also scoffed at the time estimates provided by Administration defenders, briefly suggesting you could move a military team all the way around the world and back to your starting point in 23 hours.”
Finally, Admiral Lyons has also uncovered from FBI sources as part of the Citizens Commission on Benghazi that the September 2012 attacks on the Benghazi Consulate were in fact a plot by Islamic terrorists to kidnap Ambassador Stevens and trade him as a hostage for the “Blind Sheik” Omar Abdel Rahman who was one of the masterminds behind the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 1993, the precursor to the 2001 attacks.

Thomas Moorer was indeed special. Along with Jack Singlaub two of the bravest people have ever met. He took off and went into combat during the Pearl Harbor attack. He just was not physically brave he was willing to be a non-conformist and take on the news media. There are a lot of people like Bob Dole who were brave in combat but not brave in terms of being non-conformists or taking on the media.
BTW Tom told me Pearl Harbor was a cover-up, we knew they were coming and kept Kimmel in the dark.
