Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says there’s no need to continue the investigation of the deadly 2012 Benghazi attack because she’s “absolutely” content she knows what happened.

ABC News posted a brief clip of Clinton’s interview with Robin Roberts, showing that Clinton has her doubts about the intentions of the House Republicans’ drive to have a special committee investigate the attack.

When Roberts asked Clinton if she was “satisfied with the answers” and “content with what you know what happened,” Clinton replied: “Absolutely.”

US Attorney To Oversee Lerner Contempt Case Appointed By Obama

Chinese-backed firm $47-Million to build wind farm N.J. doesn’t want

New Jersey regulators rejected a Chinese-backed windmill project twice, but that didn’t stop the Department of Energy.

The federal government has awarded $47 million to sweeten the deal for a $188 million project the Garden State has deemed too risky for ratepayers.

Fishermen’s Energy wants to install five windmills off the coast of Atlantic City. Its leadership hopes the infusion of cash will sway the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, which up until this point has not been receptive to the project.

VA Secretary Shinseki: Won’t Resign

The House Veterans Affairs Committee on Thursday voted to subpoena Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki after more than 40 deaths were tied to deadly delays in health care at its hospitals in Phoenix.

Shinseki has staunchly defended his department despite calls from such organizations as the American Legion for his resignation, saying he is “angry” about what happened but would investigate thoroughly those who are responsible.

The Shinseki subpoena will purportedly cover e-mails that indicate the destruction of a secret list of those who died while waiting for care at the Phoenix facility, CNN reports.

Tsarnaev lawyers seek to suppress statements

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the accused Boston Marathon bomber, repeatedly requested a lawyer and complained of his deteriorating medical condition while he recovered from gunshot wounds to his head, face, throat, and jaw in the hours and days after his arrest in Watertown. Yet he was continuously interrogated by FBI agents who told him he needed to answer questions to ensure that there was no longer a public safety threat, his lawyers say in court filings Wednesday.

The FBI agents told him his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who had been killed earlier, was still alive, and they turned away defense lawyers who arrived at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on his behalf, according to the court documents, with one agent saying Tsarnaev was not even in custody.

‘Gang of Eight’ Senators: Immigration Reform Ha nging by a Thread

The chances of President Barack Obama signing a major immigration reform bill grow dimmer by the day.

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio and Democrat Sen. Charles Schumer, who constructed immigration legislation in a bipartisan coalition called the Gang of Eight, both sound pessimistic about the possibility of passing such a package before Obama departs office, Politico reported.

And GOP Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, a libertarian-leaning potential 2016 presidential contender, cast even more doubt on Congress giving the green-light to a complete new set of immigration regulations — and said it may be permanently doomed.
